Festivals 2010-2011

Each year Creative Napier runs a number of festivals for children, young
people and the community of Napier.   Our year starts in July when our
Service Agreement with Napier City Council is renewed.

For the 2010 - 2011 season we are planning to once again hold the  "Keeping
Napier Beautiful Summer Concert Series" and as always these will be held in
various Napier Parks on late Sunday afternoons.

Having just completed this year's Children's Art Festival we are already
working on plans for a repeat and for many new innovative workshops.   There
will certainly be another full programme in April 2011 but watch this space
as we may well bring in another programme on an earlier school holiday.
This year we co-operated with the Hawke's Bay Museum & Art Gallery (HBMAG)
and we are planning cooperative programmes with other groups in the future.

Bayfest, the Creative Napier January Youth Festival remains an option for
2011 but no decision has been made on that yet.   Ideas on the programme for
the day, should it be held again,  from the young people that attended this
year, or last, will always be appreciated.
